Lia's Bristol Night Ends Early
Donny Lia Post Race Report
Donny's #07 being worked on after invoilved in a crash at Bristol.
Donny Lia’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Wednesday night at the Bristol Motor Speedway as was filled with action and excitement. Unfortunately for Lia there was too much action and damage from two separate on-track incidents cut Donny night short, resulting in a thirtieth place finish for the SS Green Light Racing No. 07 Toyota.

Lia qualified well, turning a lap of 15.76 seconds on the .533-mile track at just under 122 mph in the SS Green Light Racing No. 07 Toyota to secure the tenth starting spot in the 36-truck field.

The action on track started early for the New York native. On lap twenty, Donny was caught in the middle of teammates Jason White and Jake Crum coming out of turn-four. There was contact between Donny’s No. 07 and Crum’s No. 21, sending Donny spinning in front of traffic. Austin Dillon had nowhere to go and slammed into the left front of Lia's Toyota.

The SS Green Light team made repairs and was able to get Donny back out on the hi-banked concrete track keeping the No. 07 on the lead lap.

A second accident occurred on lap forty-four Donny was buried deep in the field when Dennis Setzer and Clay Greenfield collided and Greenfield spun in front of him. Donny checked-up to avoid the mess, but was hit from behind and spun again causing more damage to his No. 07 Toyota.

Donny tried to keep pace with the lead lap trucks, but fell behind and eventually took his truck to the garage, citing the damage from the earlier incidents too severe to continue. Donny completed ninety laps and was credited with thirtieth place in the final rundown behind winner Kyle Busch.
