Lia Ready for Double-Duty at Pocono

Donny Lia will be doing what he loves during Pocono weekend... racing, and plenty of it.   Lia will attempt a "double-duty" weekend competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race with his #21 Truck and for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Series at Pocono Raceway (PA).  Both rides will be sponsored by East End Helicopters / Spray Max for the special weekend.

Lia, a two-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Series champion and Camping World Truck Series winner, is primed for the challenge.

"It's going to be a busy day on Saturday that is for sure," says Lia, "but I can't wait for the opportunity.  I love to race and I get to do a lot of it this weekend.   Hooking up with Venturini Motorsports is something I am very excited about doing.  We've been talking about it for a while.  We are both people who like to run up front and win races.  Thanks to that and support from East End Helicopters and Spray Max, we were able to put together this weekend.  I can't wait to fly their logos on both the ARCA car and Camping World Truck and hopefully get them to victory lane."

Lia has two career ARCA Racing Series starts.  He'll be filling in for Steve Arpin in the Venturini Motorsports #55 entry.  Arpin will be competing for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series at Iowa Speedway.

"I've been itching to get behind the wheel of an ARCA car again," adds Lia.  "I really want to get as much experience as I can to help my learning curve increase at this level of the sport.  While my concentration this year is on my truck effort with the SS-Racing guys, I think the experience I can gain with Billy Venturini and his team will be extremely valuable to my development."

The Pocono Mountains 125 Camping World Truck Series race will be Lia's first start and the series' inaugural event at the 2.5-mile Long Pond, Pennsylvania track.

"It will be my first time racing Pocono so I think the seat time in the ARCA car will help me a lot.  By the time I hop in my #21 for the Camping World Truck race, I should have a lot of laps under my belt.  Running both races means a lot of valuable track time for me.   I think we can have a good run in both the car and the truck this weekend."

Lia's busy weekend starts with practice for both series on Friday, July 30th.  ARCA qualifying is also on Friday at 1:40pm.  The Pocono Mountains 125 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race and the ARCA Weiss Markets 125 will both be televised live on SPEED on Saturday, July, 31st.  In addition to the live television coverage, ARCARacing.com will host live audio coverage and live timing and scoring presented by ARCA Nation.
