Donny Lia Remembers Jack Arute, Sr.
Stafford Motor Speedway Owner Was a Visionary and a Friend
Stafford Motor Speedway owner Jack Arute, Sr. passed away on April 3rd.  His role in the NASCAR Modified community was extensive and Donny Lia shared his thoughts about Mr. Arute:

“I’m just fortunate to have been able to get to know him a little bit over these past few years.  He was a really nice guy who looked out for his competitors.  He gave me opportunities to help my career and really did a few things to help me out.
“It’s sad to see him pass away.  It’s a loss for our whole Modified community and the short track community in the Northeast as a whole.  He was an amazing visionary.

“I’m sure that the Arute family will keep up his legacy at Stafford Motor Speedway and continue to make the track even better than ever in the future.

“On behalf of the entire LMI team, I offer our condolences, thoughts and prayers to the Arute family.  Jack Arute was a great guy and he’ll be missed.”
